How to Create a DIY Ethnic Background

Hi everyone!

Today I'd like to suggest a way to create your own unique background pattern with the dies that you might already have.

Having a large card size die/stamp/embossing folder is great but building up a pattern yourself makes you a true artist! Besides, it's a great way to add a bit more depth and a bit of color to it! And - it's just a lot of fun to do!

Watch the video below for a step by step guide! Thanks for visiting today!

Clear Shaker Tag - SAVE THE CRAFTY YOUTUBER VIDEO HOP

Hi everyone!

I am happy to participate to the third SAVE THE CRAFTY YOUTUBER video hop. This important event is meant to support smaller creators affected by YouTube's new policy.

It's a great way to find new crafty channels that you might never heard of before, so I do encourage you to hop along and watch all the videos!

The hop is also generously sponsored by a lot of wonderful companies so leave your comments along the way (on YouTube!) to win prizes! More info on the hop HERE.

Here is the project that I have created for the hop - it's a see-through shaker tag that would suit nearly every occasion:

Breakfast Card

Hi there, hope you are doing fine!

Today I have challenged myself to create a card inspired by a photo. Don't be surprised it's just the fried eggs - I actually find small everyday things like these more inspiring than something big, "important" or exceptional.

For this project I have used some of my Poppystamps dies in a new way - watch the video below for a step by step guide!

3 Ramadan Cards with Regular Supplies

Hi there, hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

I have been asked to make a Ramadan card by one of my commenters (thank you so much for this interesting request!). Since I have never made one I also didn't have any specific Ramadan themed supplies and ordering them would take too much time. So the only way to go was to re-purpose the supplies that I already have to adjust them to this new theme.

Even if you don't celebrate Ramadan I guess you will find the tutorial interesting since it's all about stretching your supplies. A little hint - dies like Card Builder set, nested basic shapes, labels and alphabet sets are your best friends!

As I was making the first cards more ideas started appearing so I ended up making three of them. Don't be surprised the video turned out to be so long!

As always, you can find a list of supplies at the end of the post. Enjoy the video and have a great day!

More Ways to Use Tag Dies

Hi crafty friends,

In today's post I am going to demonstrate more ways to use tag dies. I will be using Card Builder set by Paper Discovery that is meant to create elegant frame tags to make a nautical/masculine gift tag. I will also be showing how to make mini wall pocket organizers to store small things like stickers, ephemera, receipts, notes, photos etc.

This project was also featured in Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine #191. You can find a link to the magazine as well as all the supplies I used in a supply list at the end of this post.

Thanks for visiting today! Have a beautiful week!

Tag Birthday Banner

Hi friends,

I'm here today to remind you how versatile tag dies can be. One of the way to stretch them is to use them as banners or a wall hanging - all you have to do is to flip the tag upside down.

I'm demonstrating how to create this simple and super quick hanging banner in a VIDEO tutorial below. It's a great way to surprise a friend or colleague on their special day!
