Hi friends,
I'm happy to participate to UNITED WE CRAFT blog party hosted by Simon Says Stamp! We are here to support and inspire each other in this difficult time.
The good news is spring and Easter are coming anyways! So this time I have created a set of three egg shaped cards to add to Easter baskets.
I have used the same die set (Faberge Egg) by Simon to create each card shape and I was please to find out that this die can be customized!
So this first card is pretty much what the die is intended to create - I have placed a layered filigree insert onto a plain background and applied some Nuvo iridescent drops on top (see the supply list below!).
To create the second one I trimmed off the sentiment (it is only attached to the outline at two points so no one will see!) and added another die cut image by Simon - a daisy. Then I inlaid the images using the small pattern paper scraps and voila! - the spring girly Easter egg is ready!
For the card #3 (the nautical one) I have added a tone on tone stamping onto the backgroud to create waves, then trimmed off the sentiment again and backed up the top and bottom patterns with vellum (looks much like sea foam now!). Then I've added a large golden anchor as a focal image and the marine egg was done!
Watch the beginning to end video tutorial!
I hope I have inspired you to use up the supplies the supplies that you already have to create a lot of new projects! Don't forget to visit other blog party participants' blogs for more inspiration!
See you back soon!
