Building Up Scenes Based on Real Places

Hi friends,

Today I'm going to create a scene card based on a real place - it's Stockport, UK - a home for CraftStash and Practical Publishing ;) I'll be using the dies from Travel & Adventure collection by Paper Discovery.

But this is not the only project that I've made with these products! I have also created two more fun cards! That tutorial is exclusive to CraftWorld. There is also a great SPECIAL OFFER waiting for you there!

Money Saving Foiling Hack

Hi there friends,

In today's video I'll share a little hack with you - a way to replenish your stash of foiling dies at a reduced price or even completely free of charge. There is a certain type of dies that had been here forever before the hot foiling machines became popular. You might already have a lot of these dies if you look through your stash! If not, I'll tell you where you can get them with huge discounts (well, just scroll down for the supply list :)))))

Now watch the video for more explanations on this type of dies and how to use them for foiling and also for beginning to end cardmaking tutorial!

Papers that AMAZED Me | XL Cards with MULTIPLE Shaker Windows

Hi friends, hope you are staying safe and healthy!

I live far away from the sea so I miss it quite badly at times. No wonder that when I first saw the Ocean Blue papers by Graphic45 (see the supply list below) I just fell in love and had to try to incorporate them in my cards! The patterns are quite busy but because the color palette is limited to blue and sand they are quite manageable.

I have used some of the Paper Discovery large basic frame dies (rectangles, circles and squares) to create XL cards with multiple shaker windows. And I also added some gold for more sunshine warmth!

Watch the step by step video tutorial below and thanks for visiting today!

Nautical Layout in Warm Tones

Hi there, hope you are having a great weekend!

This traveler's notebook layout is nautical themed although I used almost no blue here. Instead, I decided to stick to a warm aspect of beach life - sand, sun, seashells and sea creatures.

Watch the video below for a step by step tutorial! There is also another bonus layout waiting for you ;)

Take care and stay safe!

Technique: Hot Foiling on Tissue Paper

Hi crafters,

Today I'd like to talk about a wonderful material that is rarely used in cardmaking - a tissue paper. It has beautiful texture, color and transparency but at the same time it's super thin and does not hold its shape. So how can we add this paper to our cards and use all its unique properties? Let try and experiment.

In the VIDEO below I will be demonstrating how to add hot foiling to tissue paper and how to incorporate it into a handmade card. Just scroll down to watch!

DIY Illustrated Book - NO DRAWING!

Hi crafty friends!

Today's project is going to be a bit different from what I normally make. This time I am creating a DIY handwritten book for my children. The book is supposed to be full of illustrations but since I'm not good at character drawing I have chosen another way of doing it.

I am going to use my children's favorite dolls and their dollhouses to create settings and I'm going to photograph the critters/characters instead of drawing the pictures.
Then I am going to create a traveler's notebook style project and add all my photos and texts there along with lots of scrapbooking embellishments.

So this is what the first pages of my storybook look like. I hope children are going to enjoy it and I hope you will enjoy the VIDEO tutorial below!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend!

Easter Egg Cards

Hi friends,

I'm happy to participate to UNITED WE CRAFT blog party hosted by Simon Says Stamp! We are here to support and inspire each other in this difficult time.

The good news is spring and Easter are coming anyways! So this time I have created a set of three egg shaped cards to add to Easter baskets.

I have used the same die set (Faberge Egg) by Simon to create each card shape and I was please to find out that this die can be customized!

So this first card is pretty much what the die is intended to create - I have placed a layered filigree insert onto a plain background and applied some Nuvo iridescent drops on top (see the supply list below!).

To create the second one I trimmed off the sentiment (it is only attached to the outline at two points so no one will see!) and added another die cut image by Simon - a daisy. Then I inlaid the images using the small pattern paper scraps and voila! - the spring girly Easter egg is ready!

For the card #3 (the nautical one) I have added a tone on tone stamping onto the backgroud to create waves, then trimmed off the sentiment again and backed up the top and bottom patterns with vellum (looks much like sea foam now!). Then I've added a large golden anchor as a focal image and the marine egg was done!

Watch the beginning to end video tutorial!

I hope I have inspired you to use up the supplies the supplies that you already have to create a lot of new projects! Don't forget to visit other blog party participants' blogs for more inspiration!
See you back soon!
