In today's video I'd like to introduce you to a fun little device that I recently started using. This is a M02 Phomemo Pocket Printer - a black and white thermal printer (meaning no ink cartridges!). To use it you will only need a printer itself and some Phomemo paper rolls (one white roll comes with the printer to get you started).
This printer is super handy for printing out messages for your handmade cards, for signing the envelopes as well as for sealing them - watch the video tutorial below for more instructions!

From my understanding, thermal printing paper fades.
ReplyDeleteJust like a cash register tape. (same system, just not on sticky paper)
That would be a shame to put all that work into your cards only to find the sentiments fade! In theory, I like this idea, but... not sure about the fading issue. Also, that might get pretty expensive as the paper is not cheap.
Any information on that?

This is what the producers say on their website: "Just like all other thermal paper, eventually the prints will fade. Different paper has different storage time, we have 2 yrs,5 yrs,10 yrs,20 yrs, long term effective(over 20 yrs) for your reference".
DeleteSakura I used is a "20 years" one and Transparent Gold is "long term". I think it should be enoughfor posting, labeling, signing cards, using in planners and journals as well as for most papercrafting projects.
The price is not for one roll but for the box of three rolls. Each of them is 138" (3.5m). That's a lot of paper, I think most people will get tired and bored with it long before it ends :)
