Hi crafters!
Today I am participating to Spellbinders Blog Hop to celebrate the new fabulous Shadowbox collection designed by Becca Feeken. I love this kind of product because it allows you to use your supplies for much more than card making.
If you are hopping along you must have already seen a number of amazing shadow boxes created with the new dies. I am suggesting a way to turn this shadow box into an elegant box that you can mail dimensional cards in. You can also use this type of boxes as a chocolate bar holders or put any similar flat items inside like notebooks, stamps and dies etc. to make a lovely gift for your friends.

All you have to do is to attach a folded piece of cardstock to the bottom of the shadow box and add a couple of ribbons to close the box!

ReplyDeleteYou are so inspiring. I love all your creations. You are so very talented.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the video! I do have a question. How did you figure out the length of the paper to cut? I understand for the 1/2 inch depth one needs to cut the paper 3 inches wide, but how do you figure out the length of the paper?? Maybe you will cover that in your next video (showing how to make a 12x12 box)? I am SO excited about this die and am looking forward to ordering it. Thanks so much, Olga!

ReplyDeleteVery cool
ReplyDeleteMy kind of dies! I hope Spellbinders continues to bring more innovative dies to the market, I'm enjoying the ones that allow us to choose the size. Even though I'm an American, I like making larger, 6x6 cards, not the small a2 everyone else seems to like, so these are really right up my alley! Thank you Olga & Spellbinders.
ReplyDeleteThat card is gorgeous! If love to see a tutorial on it. Your box looks great. I like the frame and sentiment that you used on the front. Thanks for the video!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to present the card. We all work so hard on making these beautiful cards, but are often left wondering how we are going to post it. Now we have the answer.

ReplyDeleteI've been looking for something like this so I can mail dimensional cards without them getting crushed. I've been hand delivering them most of the time, but that isn't always possible. It's a great solution, and doesn't look too hard to do!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your video. Your imagination is such a gift. You always come up with outside the box thinking to create even more than what the product is intended to do. GREAT idea. I agree with a few others, how do you figure out the length for the box? I image you can create any size frame/shadowbox that you like. I am a spellbinders kit club member & just love their products.
ReplyDeleteAgain a wonderful piece of art. Thanks for sharing your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely treasure. The delicate details are beautiful!
