Paper Diorama / Figurine Holder

Hi there, I am back with another 3D project tutorial. I have literally gasped when I first saw Becca Feeken’s new 3D card dies. This is the type of dies that I have been waiting for – the one that allows you to easily create a diorama or a shadow box template just by cutting out all elements and then assembling it.
My favorite die set from this collection is Grand Arch 3D Card just because it has a simple rectangle for an outline which makes it super versatile and suitable for all styles.

This project might look super complicated when you first see it – but I assure you it is much much easier to make than it seems because most of work is already done for you by the die creators and it is really just about die cutting and putting it together!

I have used this gorgeous die set to create a diorama that holds a plaster figurine. You could also place any other small things inside like a pot with a succulent or a cactus, a tiny vase with real or artificial flowers or any other treasured memorabilia.

I have also used some other Spellbinders dies that coordinate great with the 3D card template – the gorgeous Nordic Tree made a perfect background and it fits right inside the arch! I combined the flowers and leaves from different sets to twirl around the trellis and I finally added a die cut sentiment to a label and placed it at the bottom of the arch.

Watch the video tutorial for the step by step guide on how to make this project:

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and got inspired! Thank you so much for visiting and if you have any questions I’ll be happy to answer them! Have a beautiful and sweet weekend!

Pocket Letter #13 - The Earth & the Air

Hooray! It's the Pocket Letter time! :)

If you are wondering what Pocket Letters is it is a 9 pocket plastic page that you fill with DIY decorated cards to create a nice composition. Then you can swap Pocket Letters with your crafty friends and build up your own collection of them!

This one is titled "The Earth and the Air" so I have chosen to use a brown paper and vellum combination to represent those two elements.

I have used a bunch of Gummiapan wildflower and grass rubber stamps (see the supply list below) to heat emboss the images on vellum. Fine ink splattering is going to create more interest and enhance the transparency effect.

Aquarium Card

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

The project I am showcasing today is a shaker card. The idea and performance is really simple, it's the choice of materials that makes it interesting - I used some real sea shells to fill in the shaker and natural cork sheet to create a frame. The goldfish is cut out of shiny mirror cardstock and the whole thing is accentuated by the dimensional clear droplets.

This card is also a bit smaller than the regular one and measures 3 1/4'' x 4 1/5''.

Love Grows

Hello and thanks for joining me today!

The project I have created is a floral greeting card.  It is made with white + cream cardstock with the tiny addition of color green.

The sentiment  is a word die placed over the matching shaker window and it it completed with some alphabet die cuts stuck right onto the card front panel. The whole thing is framed with the beautiful new double stitch die by Poppystamps.

Masculine Valentine

Happy St. Valentine's Day everyone!

I have challenged myself to make a masculine Valentine - that is to say a Valentine without any flowers, lace or even hearts. And this is what I came up with - an easy to make card suitable for nearly all occasions (even a baby!). After all, you don't have to say "love" or draw hearts to make someone understand that you love him :)
